| Abstract: | Participation is one of the major features of contemporary culture. It extends beyond the media domain where it is in vogue, as witnessed by the many studies of the subject in recent years highlighting the commitment of media publics. This article applies the sociology of collective action and participative communication to present and analyze the forms of action observable in listener groups developing around radio stations in Francophone West Africa. |
